Defective after 1 month September 3, 2010 DICK YORK IS THE BETTER DICK (NEW YORK CITY) the AUDIO now has a ECHO effect on all discs. just tried to return the item to Amazon and the return window expired by FOUR days. I do NOt reccomend this product. Horrible quality.

The ad here "Frequently Bought Together" would lead you to believe that the Player has an output for a HDMI Cable - it doesn't. Otherwise OK.
QC seems wobbly; didn't work, returned. August 24, 2010 Loves to cook (CA United States) I bought this after reading the reviews, knowing that it seemed like you either "won" and got a great little unit that worked a treat, or you "lost" and got a bad one. We lost. Fortunately, as seems typical with this machine, it failed right out of the box - a much better thing that having it fail a few months out, after the return period is over. We shipped it back and are awaiting a refund (we couldn't do an exchange).
The machine we replaced it with, a region-free Pioneer DV-220V-K, was also purchased on Amazon for about half again more money. It works great.
Ok player for the price August 15, 2010 Novice This iview DVD player works well for the price. The Worst thing about it, which someone else had already mentioned, is the always-on blue lights behind the buttons. Although, if you needed a nightlight in the room anyway, it could double for that! We use it as a basic DVD/CD player in US and no issues. Could work well for Karaoke I expect, as you can adjust the pitch of the sound by about 1/2-step increments, so if a song is recorded too low or high, you can increase/decrease the pitch - fun to fool with during a movie, too, what a blast! Other sound effects options are kind of fun too. The volume button on the remote does very little, and we couldn't get our universal remote to control the Player (unrecognized/non-standard), so we have to have both remotes handy. Not a big deal. We've had it only a month or two, but are pleased so far. Amazon was great to buy from, of course.
The best little DVD player ever! July 28, 2010 Cori L. (New Jersey, USA) I order movies from all over the world, and American DVD players just don't make the cut. They either don't play them at all, or you have to enter an intricate code if you have the right kind. This little DVD player plays DVD's from all over without having to insert any codes. It also plays great, is light & portable (great for taking on trips). I would just suggest you be a little careful with it. But it's one of the best $30 I've ever spent!
